Artist Statement

My work is an Anthropological approach to studying my countries ethnography. I plan to be a chronicler, analyst, archivist, recorder and historiographer of popular culture generated by the kingdom. Each work is an ethnographic study of a product produced by my countries media. The works also study the relationship that are forming between history and reality, and how virtuality and the internet is affecting this relationship. Currently news outlets and social media platforms are all providing different forms of documentation and story telling. I plan to join in this hysteria by using archival images, footage and products of popular culture and appropriating them into different formats. To push the boundaries of the historical representation of Saudi Arabia.
