Participants will design and create T-shirts by first drawing a basic illustration, cutting it into a stencil, and then using screen printing to transfer the design onto the shirt with paint. After completing the workshop, each student will have a basic understanding of the process, art entrepreneurship, and a free T-shirt painted by themselves to take home.
Featured Artist: Jesse Roberts is the founder and Creative Director of the Art Ambassadors, a program dedicated to engaging youth and communities through interactive music and art workshops across the globe. He is a self-taught artist and enjoys working with spray paint, mixed media and screen-printing. His thought provoking designs have been carried by major retailers around the world – from Urban Outfitters, Whole Foods, to grass roots record stores and skate shops.
This workshop is free of charge and suitable for teenagers ages 13-18 years old.
